We know there are many financial services firms out there. As our practice has grown we've come to realize we have strengths and weaknesses. This knowledge has driven us to focus our efforts on clients we know we can help. We focus on working with the type of clients we have the skill set, the tools, the experience and a long history of success helping.

They often have multiple old 401(k) and IRA accounts, which they aren't managing well or at all.
They are often wondering how best to set up all of their investment accounts and wondering how to manage their current 401(k). They want to know if they will ever be able to retire, and when they do retire will they be able to have the same standard of living they have worked so hard to reach.

They value having a road map to follow, and someone to guide them along the path. They want a team that will point out the pitfalls and someone that will help them work towards their goals.
Eight Oaks Financial provides a financial plan that changes and is updated every time we meet with our clients. We then make the plan available online, so they can immediately access it, discuss it with their spouse and think about adjustments they'd like us to project for their future.

Comfortable with technology
The majority of our meetings are held virtually through WebEx, SKYPE, Join.me or GoToMeeting. Our clients love the flexibility technology gives us. Our client interaction is first email, then phone, virtual meeting, lastly face to face. Our base is in Silicon Valley, but we have clients all over the United States. Technology allows us to serve all of them at the same high level.
Ultimately our clients want a deep financial relationship with us
Our clients are willing to take the time to share their personal details, so we know about all the moving parts in their life. The more detailed the information we have the better and more specific our recommendations will be. Your doctor can't give you a good diagnosis without you explaining everything about your aches and pains.
We use a tool called a MindMap to chart all those moving parts. We update this MindMap every time we meet. Here's an example of what one looks like
We make ourselves available at least four times a year for client Progress Report meetings. We only work with a limited number of clients. A limited number allows us to know each of our clients personally.
At the end of the day, we work with people we like, people we enjoy being associated with. We work with our friends.
