Andy Chatham has been helping clients manage wealth for over 20 years. He's built his practice brick by brick, client by client, helping them with their wealth management: financial planning, insurance planning and investment management.
From the start of his career Andy has focused on helping individuals work towards the goal of building and growing their wealth.
His focus has been to work with corporate executives, professionals and business owners in Silicon Valley. Over time many clients have moved and he now has clients all over the U.S.
Andy worked as a financial advisor at Northwestern Mutual (13 years) and at MassMutual (8 years). In January of 2016 he moved his practice to LPL Financial. The goal was for this to be his final move. After a year long search, and with offers from all the top broker dealers, Andy determined LPL Financial was the best long term fit for his clients and his business. LPL is the largest independent broker dealer in the nation (As reported by Financial Planning magazine, June 1996-2016, based on total revenue).

Why Wealth Management?
For all of Andy's childhood his family owned a successful home furnishing business in Southern California. When Andy went off to college they had five stores and a total of sixty employees. The long term goal was for Andy to take over the family business. Unfortunately, the recession hit in the late 1980's & early 1990's and business took a drastic turn. Even though the family business was positioned well, retail sales plummeted, real estate values shrank and his family's net worth dropped precipitously. The family had to move into a smaller home, and the family business was ultimately closed. Andy watched his parents change careers late in life, and suffer through terrible financial struggles. As he studied finance and ways to avoid his family’s past mistakes, his career in the financial services industry began. He learned he could protect not only his future family from those pitfalls, but he could build a business where he would be able to help his clientele as well.
That is when Eight Oaks Financial was born.
